Can you pick up my horse?
We offer a free pick up service for all new liveries within a
30mile radius. We have a double trailer for this. If this is not
suitable we recommend Youngs Horse Transport on 01434602543. We are
only able to pick up on evenings and weekends.
Do you accept stallions on
livery?
We are happy to accept young colts up to the age of two, but we
can not accept stallions.

foal?
It is £5 more per week for a mare with a foal at foot. Normal
livery will be charged for the foal once it is weaned.
Do you offer discounts on livery if I
have more than one horse?
We offer a £2 discount per horse if you graze more than 3 horses
with us, but we are unable to offer discounts on livery.
How do you pay for the livery?
We invoice our liveries in advance. The invoices are done
weekly on a Tuesday and payment is required on the weekend
following that. Payment is accepted by cash, cheque, bank transfer,
standing order, credit/debit card.
Do you offer riding lessons?
Yes for details look under the riding school section of the
website.
Does the yard have open/close
times?
Between October and April the yard opens at 7am and closes at
8.30pm. During the Summer it opens at 7am and closes at 9.30pm. If
you need to be on the yard outside of those hours to compete etc,
please just let us know in advance.
Are children allowed on the yard?
We welcome children, although under the age of 16 they are not
allowed to be left unattended. We are unable to keep an eye on
young people which are left to hang about the yard, so please
ensure they are supervised.
Do you offer short term/holiday
livery?
Yes we do, just advise us when you come that it is only temporary.
We may need to charge for pick up if you are only going to be here
for a very short time.
Is there space for trailers and wagons
to park at the yard?
We do have very limited parking. Please see livery details for the
costs.
If we come on DIY livery, do we have to
buy hay and shavings from you?
No, but we do have very limited storage space, so you may need to
store it at home. We do not allow straw bedding.
What is the school like in the
winter?
We manage to use the school most of the year, but water does
sometimes stand in it. We are constantly trying to rectify this and
hope it will be sorted. We always have fields in which you can
ride.
Does the yard offer all year
turnout?
Yes we 24hr grazing all year. Also if your horse lives in we offer
daily grazing.
If on part/full livery is there a limit
on the amount of shavings/forage the horses are allowed?
There is no limit on the amount of forage, but we do say a maximum
of 3 bales of shavings or 4 shavings bags per 7 days. (this does
not include when you first come on livery and we set up the first
bed in a non-rubber matted stable).
Are mares and geldings grazed
together?
In the Summer months we split the mares and geldings, when the
mares are in season. In the Winter we put them back together. If we
have particular problems with specfic horses we have little fields
we can put them in.
Are all the fields post and rail?
We do have 7 fields that are post and rail, but the very large
ones (25acres plus) have wire.
